Soar High

I had a twist and turns of my life in the last few years., It was so fast a lot of things happen in a blink and so.In one point to another I need to give up what i want in life for the better of those people dear to me. I always had a race with time and resources , a lot of things to keep up that I need to shorten those days when I feel sad because I need to be fine. Because I want them to feel that I am.

And in just a month ago I stop working. The company I worked with was affected by the global crisis. They need to downsize the number of there employees, and I was one of those they need to give up.I got a partime job which last for a month.

Todayis the first day to be full jobless...a lot of realization, taking time to stop and decern. A lot of things need organization and attention. But one thing I am sure of , I want to soar high as high as a kite can achieve making all my hearts rightful desire come true..

Thankful..

In our lifes's journey we have a lot of things to be thankful of. The basic needs, the comfort of life.The family that was given to us and the friendship that we share to other people during life's journey.

I am very thankful for having a wonderful family and and a very close knit among the clan, blessed also with wonderful friends whom i consider a family too.

Last year 2009 is a bittersweet year for me. Sweet because It was the year of our church marriage. I for one believe that we need God's blessing in the union of two hearts. After over a year of having our civil rites we finally made a step of commiting ourselve in the fullness of the Lord.

It was then a painful year for i lost two special people in my life. A grandfather and my beloved mother. Both are inspiration to me. They are both my mento into the journey that we all call life. They are the living example of God's unconditional LOVE. They are both selfless for the family.

Lossing them both in a span of three months was not an easy journey to me.It was one my life's twist. I got lost for a while, but then i was THANKFUL to have wonderful people who stood with me all throughout. I don't need to enumerate them for they know who they are. To all of you Thanks so much!!!

I have made this cards to send them. In making this cards i realize how beautiful life is...and it makes me more Thankful each and evryday i live.

Remembering Lolo ...

Today i start my day with a mass in remembrance to my life's HERO , my grandfather..You are gone but our memmories will always be in my heart forever. I miss you so much lolo and thank you for your love and care..love you always

Thankful

In few hours from now i will celebrate my natal day...I'm Thaknful to the God above for the gift of life. Thanks to my angel mother and and papa for nurturing love and life...

There's so much to be thankful ....Though this is a bittersweet birthday for this is the first birthday that i won't be able to hear the greeetings of two wonderful people who's always been in my 33 years, celebrates my birthday with so much love and affection.


To my Lolo Ping2 & Mama Luming thanks so much for the 33 years of love, life, inspiration and happiness...Wherever you are now you will always be remembered with love. As I turn 34, it will surely be a different me...

Gift/Note Cards

Last weekend I was a lazy butt..I did not went out as much as I wanna roam around but the hot weather and humidity makes me stay at home. I have cleaned the house, do the laundry and of course cooking.

While cleaning i find few card stocks stash. I cannot afford to put them in garbage so i turn them into 3x3 notes/ gift cards. Here are the finish product.

Serg's Chocolates..

If you are between my age you know what I am talking about.. This is one of the most popular local chocolates we had at that time.

Other than the yummy taste this chocolates offers to me it's always associated with great memories on it... I usually have boxes of this chocolates from my beloved grandfather... He never fails to bring few bars or even boxes every time he went out to get some grocery for the family...i can still remember how i waited for him patiently in the house porch. That was one of the old good childhood memories.

I can also associate this delicious chocolate to my first love, he knows very well how much i love this. He see to it that once in a while he gave me box of this kind of chocolates...He was one of those kindest person i have known..Wherever he is right now, i wish him all the best!

Shrimp Guinataan

I really love to eat shrimp, that's why i attempted to cook a shrimp with string beans and squash. This is my first time with this kind of recipe since i never tasted this one way back in Cebu. But i love the taste and all.

First Church Wedding Anniversary

Charlie and I had our civil marriage for the last two years and seven months..But then today is our first wedding anniversary in the in the eyes of the Lord and in the people who shares with us in this chapter of our life.

Looking back, our church wedding is the most memorable day of my life. Not just because I marry the person i love the most but it's also the last important event of my life that i shared with my beloved mother.

It was a day of thanksgiving a pure joy in everybody's heart...Looking back our wedding day made me appreciate more of the people who loved us and shared with us on appreciating the beautiful life.

A Card for Papa

In few days from now we will be celebrating fathers day. I have prepare two card for my father and my father in law. It's very simple since i don't have enough embellishment suitable for man. Anyway its the thought that counts..hahahha

Our Lady of Fatima

After my college graduation, that was May of 1997 when started to gather the children and the youth at that time in our subdivision back in Villa Leyson. I taught the youth the basic of Catholic Catechism and the we have our daily catechism classes an the Flores de Mayo right after.

It was very inspiring to receive compliments from the parents who appreciated our work and who has been supporting us all the way to the success of our yearly Flores de Mayo and the October month of the rosary.

Time flies that the older ones get married and other went abroad. But, what makes me so happy is that the younger generation continued the service and am so happy to see that the service that I have started 13 years ago continued and touch the heart of the new generation.

I will always be a proud Katekista... And I thanks you from the bottom of my heart all those people who has been very supportive to us.

The new generation tag me the shirt design that they created...and i am so happy to see my name in there.. yay..

Journey to our kitchen...

Last night I did my first ever HUMBA. It's a popular recipe if you're from the south of the Philippines particularly "Bisaya" as we call ourselves.I am so happy it works well, even if it did not taste like the one of my folks but then I was complimented.. =)

I was never a cooked even before. I just cook for my own consumption, but then now that I got married (actually been married for over 2 years now) i need to feed my husband. So the learning begun.

To give you a look i came from a family who loves to cook my late mother is one of those people who's been admired and popular with her specialty which is Calderetang Kanding (Goat Caldereta) and Paklay(It's recipe with all internal organs in it) on t5he other hand my father is popular on his "inununan isda" (Fish Paksiw) and a lot more to name. In my side I am the consumer..lol knowing that both my parents cooked as well as there siblings so why do I? hehehehe i just ate what they prepare. But then when I went out of the country I have no other choice but to cook.

Wish me luck in my journey to cooking. I will be posting every now and then the ups and down in my journey inside our kitchen.. wish me luck

Welcome Baby Gem

One of my BFF Gail gave bith t her very first baby today at around 8:00 in the morning today. I am so excited to have my vacation to se her little one.

Gail is one of those friends whom i treat as family. She's been with me in my journey in life. I met her during our overseas job interview, and the friendship blossom as we spent time in the foreign land.

Farewell my friend

A very good friend of mine in my community is leaving the country for good. Sure i will be missing her. She's been very good to me. She takes things as easy as possible. She was a prayer buddy...To sis Cheka i will miss u, but then I will be very happy that you will be united with your kids and lovey dovey. I made this card for her.
